The Royal Canin Indoor Long Hair is a 2kg bag of dry food for long-haired cats kept indoors, listed for cats aged one to ten, and it sits at #9 in this guide. It is also the most expensive food per kilo here: £27.18 for 2kg is £13.59 per kg, against £1.64 per kg for the 10kg Tuna & Herring bag at the other end of the list.

Put the two side by side and the numbers get stranger still. The 2kg Royal Canin bag costs £10.83 more than the whole 10kg bag — 66% more money for a fifth of the food. Its own listing does not entirely agree with itself either: the item form is given as Dry, the diet type as Raw, and the dog breed size as Medium on a cat product. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any test of our own.
