The Shernbao SMD-06P is the £79.00 option in this guide and sits at number eight. It is a corded 2,200W blower with two speeds and two temperature settings, a purple ABS casing, a hose of 1.3 m to 2.5 m according to the specification table, three nozzles, air filters and a wall bracket, sold for drying dogs after a bath. At the time of writing it carries 4.1 out of 5 from 4,282 ratings.

The reason it lands at number eight is what the listing does with its own figures. The speed bullet offers a range of "515FPM-48000FPM"; 48,000 feet per minute is roughly 244 metres per second, and the listing says nothing about how that was measured. The same bullet gives the temperature as "55°F to 129°F (32°C -48°C)" — but 55°F is about 12.8°C and 129°F is about 53.9°C, so neither number in the brackets matches the Fahrenheit printed beside it. The spec table then lists 110 Volts (AC), the North American mains voltage, and describes the hose as 1.3 m to 2.5 m, while the bullet calls the same hose 3 ft to 8 ft and converts 3 ft to 1.2 m — 3 ft is 0.91 m. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as published, its bullets and its specification table, and not from any testing of our own.

## Questions people ask

**Why do the Fahrenheit and Celsius figures in the temperature bullet not match?**

The Shernbao bullet gives the range as 55°F to 129°F and then adds 32°C-48°C in brackets. 55°F is about 12.8°C and 129°F is about 53.9°C, so neither bracketed figure corresponds to the Fahrenheit value printed next to it.

**What does 48,000 FPM mean in real terms?**

The adjustable speed dial is listed as running from 515 FPM to 48,000 FPM. Converted, 48,000 feet per minute is about 244 metres per second. The listing gives no measurement method, so the figure can only be quoted as printed.

**The spec table says 110 Volts — can this be used on UK mains?**

The specification table lists 110 Volts (AC), which is the North American mains voltage rather than the 230 V used in the UK. The Shernbao listing does not mention a transformer, a voltage switch or a plug type, and none of the customer reviews printed here mentions voltage.

**What is included with the SMD-06P?**

The bullet lists a 3 ft to 8 ft (1.2 m-2.5 m) flexible hose, a wall mount kit, 3 different nozzles and air filters. The specification table lists the hose as 1.3 m to 2.5 m and the included components as 1.3 m to 2.5 m soft hose, so the two parts of the listing disagree on the shortest length.

**What warranty comes with it?**

The bullet states a 12 month warranty and asks buyers to email if anything is wrong so the item can be fixed or replaced. The specification table's warranty field reads "12 Monate Garantie", which is German for the same 12 months.

**How long is the power cable?**

The specification table gives a cable length of 51.18 inches, about 1.3 m. That is the power cable, which is listed separately from the hose supplied for grooming.
