Harringtons Complete Dry Puppy Food Turkey & Rice takes first place in this guide as a 10kg bag listed at £22.89, which works out at £2.29 a kilo. Put that next to the cheapest-looking price in the set — £15.00 for 2kg, or £7.50 a kilo — and the gap is the point: the smaller bag costs more than three times as much for every kilo of food. The priciest headline in the set, £31.29, is £2.50 a kilo on the 12.5kg bag, and the same £31.29 buying 12kg elsewhere works out at £2.61 a kilo. The only bag in the set that undercuts this Harringtons on price per kilo is the £21.99 Dr John's 10kg at £2.20.

The listing carries 4.6 out of 5 from 5,157 ratings, and the rating breakdown shown covers 100 ratings: 77 five-star, 14 four-star, 5 three-star, 1 two-star and 3 one-star. Harringtons describes the kibble as sized for smaller mouths, lists turkey and rice as the flavour, and points to prebiotics and yucca for gut health and omega 3 and 6 for skin and coat. Every figure on this page comes from the Amazon listing as we found it, not from any test we ran.
