The Repti-Life 48x24x24 Inch Vivarium is a flat-packed wooden reptile enclosure in black, sold as a 4ft viv. It takes third place in our guide to the best reptile vivariums. The listing gives £171.99, a 4.5 average from 113 ratings, and describes 15mm MFC board, safety glass, four airflow vents, a solid back and an inset front for a sleeker look.

The number worth checking here is the Tank Volume field, which reads 740 Gallons. The Item Dimensions field on the same page reads 121.9 x 61 x 61 cm — those are the 48 x 24 x 24 inches printed in the product name, and they work out to roughly 120 US gallons. That is about six times less than 740. The Included Components field is just as short: 'instructions', and nothing else, which sits alongside a reviewer's note that handles, door lock and silicone sealant have to be ordered separately. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from a vivarium we assembled or measured ourselves.
