The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe 256GB is the number four pick in this guide. It is a 256GB all-metal drive with two connectors — a reversible USB Type-C and a traditional USB Type-A — so the same stick moves files between a USB Type-C phone or tablet, a Mac and a USB Type-A computer. SanDisk lists it at £37.99 in a colour it calls Luxe Silver, with a 4.4 out of 5 rating from 24,988 ratings.

Its own listing carries two different speeds, and that is the reason it appears in this guide. The product name promises 'Up to 150MB/s Read Speeds', while the specification table underneath the same listing gives a Read Speed of 400 MB/s and a Media Speed of 400 MB/s — the opposite way round from the SanDisk Ultra Fit, where the headline figure was the slower of the two. A second number is worth a look too: the dimensions field reads 15D x 10W x 1H centimetres for a drive that SanDisk also describes as pocket-sized, and buyers in the reviews below describe it as smaller than the pictures suggest. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing for this drive; we have not tested it ourselves.
