The EMtronics EM32ROK is a 32-inch Roku smart TV with a 720p HD Ready panel, listed at £119.99. It comes eighth in this guide, and it sits at the bottom of the band this article keeps coming back to: every 720p set here falls between £119 and £149, and this is the cheapest end of that group. It is not an expensive set, and it does not pretend to be — no QLED badge, no six-figure contrast claim. Compare it with the 32-inch Hisense at £198.98, which declares QLED and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio: that is £78.99 more for numbers the eye cannot verify, on the same 1080p-versus-720p question this guide keeps returning to.

What the listing actually gives you for £119.99: a 32-inch LED panel at 60 Hz, three HDMI ports, one composite video input, USB, Wi-Fi with Apple AirPlay, and the Roku platform, which the listing says opens over 150,000 films and TV episodes and hundreds of apps including Netflix, Disney+, BBC iPlayer and Prime Video. It is listed at 18 cm deep, 73.3 cm wide and 48 cm high, and 3.86 kg — lighter than the two LG models in this guide, which are listed at 4.65 kg without their stands. The listing header reports 4.5 out of 5 from 401 ratings, though the star breakdown displayed with it adds up to 100 entries, not 401, and contains more one-star entries (6) than two-star (1) and three-star (4) put together. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon product listing — none of it comes from testing we have carried out.
