The Toshiba 32" HD Smart Fire Freely TV is the tenth entry in this guide and the most expensive 720p set in it. At £149.00 it sits at the very top of the £119–£149 band that the 720p models here occupy, and £11 above the cheapest 1080p screen in the guide at £138. So the money over that 1080p set does not buy pixels: the listing calls the set HD, not Full HD, and the spec sheet agrees with 720p at 60 Hz. What it does buy is the smart side — FireOS with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Freely, and a Freely button on the remote for live and on-demand TV over WiFi.

The second number worth reading twice is the rating. The Toshiba shows 4.4 out of 5 from 36 ratings, but the breakdown behind that average — 75 five-star, 13 four-star, 3 two-star and 9 one-star — adds up to 100 ratings, not 36. The 4.4 figure actually fits the 100-rating breakdown almost exactly (4.42), so the two counts in the same listing do not agree with each other. Everything on this page, including every specification and review quote, comes from the Amazon listing and its customer reviews, not from any testing by us.
