The Lexar NM790 4TB SSD with heatsink is the #4 pick in our guide to the best 4TB SSDs for PS5. It's a PCIe Gen4 NVMe drive in the M.2 2280 form factor, and the listing says it's compatible with the PlayStation 5.

The Lexar NM790's listing contains a discrepancy that is typical of this category. The bullet points claim up to 7400MB/s read and 6500MB/s write. The spec table, however, lists Read Speed as 7400 Megabytes Per Second but Media Speed as 6500 megabits_per_second. That's an eight-fold difference for the write speed, from 6,500MB/s to roughly 812.5MB/s. The read speed is consistent between both. The rating is 4.7 from 1,528 reviews. Every figure on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.
