The AZATOM Desire X2 is a £29.95 portable DAB+/DAB/FM radio in an oak finish, fourth in this guide. It has Bluetooth, two alarms and a sleep timer, runs from the mains or from 4x AA batteries, and carries a 4.3 rating from 1,974 ratings — with 66 of the 100 ratings in the breakdown sitting at five stars.

Its contribution to the wattage argument running through this guide is that it does not join in. There is no output power figure anywhere in the listing, so there is no 30 W claim to set against a battery capacity, and no battery capacity quoted to check it with. What is there does not always line up: one bullet says the Desire X2 runs from the mains or on batteries, while the specification table lists its power source as "Battery Powered" and its box contents as "Battery". The same table gives the antenna location as "Music, News". Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from testing we have carried out.

## Questions people ask

**Does the AZATOM Desire X2 have to be plugged in?**

No. The listing says the Desire X2 can be plugged into the mains for listening at home or switched to batteries for portable use, and the box contents field lists a battery.

**How powerful is the AZATOM Desire X2?**

The listing does not quote an output wattage for the Desire X2 at all, and it does not quote a battery capacity either, so there is no power figure to compare with other radios.

**How long do the batteries last on the AZATOM Desire X2?**

The listing states no battery life in hours. It says the Desire X2 takes 4x AA batteries and describes them as non-rechargeable cells, so runtime is not something the advert puts a number on.

Yes. AZATOM lists Bluetooth on the Desire X2, for streaming from a smartphone or tablet.

**Does the AZATOM Desire X2 have an alarm?**

Yes. It has dual alarms that can be set to Daily, Weekdays, Weekends or Once, plus a sleep timer for drifting off to a station.
