The AZATOM Spitalfields 2 is a portable DAB+/DAB/FM radio in a white leather-effect finish, with Bluetooth, two alarms, a sleep timer and a rechargeable battery. It sits at number three in this guide at £44.95, with 4.4 out of 5 from 2,335 ratings on Amazon.

The reason it is at number three and not higher is arithmetic, not sound. The listing claims a maximum speaker output of 30 W and, in the same listing, a 2,000 mAh battery that lasts over 10 hours. A 2,000 mAh battery at roughly 3.7 V holds about 7.4 Wh; spread across 10 hours that is an average of about 0.74 W. At a genuine 30 W the same battery would be flat in about 15 minutes. The Mycket further down the guide shows the same gap from the other side: it declares 5 W for a 2,200 mAh battery and 12 hours, an average of about 0.68 W. Nothing here is a measurement we took — every power figure, price, rating and battery claim on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from our own testing.
