The MangoKit MD3 is a DAB, DAB+ and FM radio with Bluetooth, a 2.4in colour display and a walnut finish, priced at £26.99. It takes sixth place in this guide, and on Amazon it is listed 18th in Portable DAB Radios with 4.3 out of 5 from 1,363 ratings — 66% of those ratings are five-star, against 8% at one star.

The number worth checking on this listing is not a wattage, because the MD3 listing quotes none. It is the playtime: up to 12 hours, which the listing ties to 4 × AA batteries that are not included. That is a different kind of claim from the sealed battery packs elsewhere in this guide, because how long the MD3 actually runs depends on the cells you put in it. The same specs block also lists a Voltage of 5 Volts, which fits the USB-C input, and a Frequency of 50 Hz, which does not describe DAB or FM tuning. Every figure on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from a test of our own.
