The DEERC D70 costs £33.99 and is rated 3.9 stars from 1,386 ratings, with 15 per cent one-star — and a stated range of 30 metres.

It takes seventh because that figure is the honest one for a toy drone and the most instructive number here, even though the same field reads 10 kilometres on the DJI above it and 20,000 feet on the Ruko below.

## Questions people ask

**Is 30 metres short?**

Very: another listing here states 10 kilometres in the same field, and another 20,000 feet.

**Why the poor rating?**

Because buyers expect more than a toy from a drone, and 30 metres of range is the giveaway.

**Good for a child?**

Yes: it is cheap, light, foldable and has spare arms.

**Does it shoot 4K?**

No, and its output resolution is 1280x720.

**Why is it seventh?**

Because it is the cheapest and honest about its range, but the record is weak and the camera is basic.

**How many ratings does it have?**

1386 at the time of collection, averaging 3.9 stars, with 56 per cent five-star and 15 per cent one-star.
