The Alesis Nitro Pro XL is the larger of the two Nitro Pro kits in this guide, at £594 against the £517 asked for the 8-piece version. It is a 10-piece mesh kit: a 10-inch dual-zone snare, four 8-inch mesh toms, 10-inch hi-hat, ride and two crashes, and an 8-inch mesh drum tower. It takes sixth place here with 4.5 stars from 106 ratings.

The number that stands out is not the star rating. This listing reports a Best Sellers Rank of 2,581 in Musical Instruments & DJ and 13 in Electronic Drums - the identical rank shown on the cheaper 8-piece Nitro Pro listing. Two different kits, one rank. And £77 buys the extra toms, but the XL still sits 13th in Electronic Drums, behind a Nitro Max at £345 that carries 2,709 ratings. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing for this kit, not from our own testing.
