The Donner DED-80 is a four-pad mesh electronic drum kit in white, listed at £219.99, and it takes fourth place in this guide. It is the cheapest kit in the round-up, and it is the one where the low price and the crowd point the same way: 1,928 ratings at 4.4 out of five, and third place in Amazon's Electronic Drums ranking. The £345 Alesis Nitro Max holds first place in that same ranking, while the £666 Alesis Nitro Ultimate carries 35 ratings and sits 59th. On the price-to-ranking question, the Donner behaves like the cheaper Alesis, not the dearer one.

Two numbers on the DED-80's own listing do not line up. The bullet about the frame gives expanded dimensions of 42.52 x 18.11 x 39.37 inches, while the specification table gives item dimensions of 81 x 41 x 29.5 centimetres - roughly 32 x 16 x 12 inches. The listing does not say which figure describes the assembled kit and which describes the box, and the two cannot both be the same footprint. Everything on this page is taken from that Amazon listing, ratings included; we have not assembled or played the kit ourselves.
