The Focusinc G301 is the sixth pick in this guide: a £64.99 laser rangefinder with a slope switch, 7x magnification and a built-in rechargeable battery, rated 4.8 out of 5 from 50 customer reviews.

The spec table is where this one gets interesting. Item weight is listed as 400 g. Five of the eight spec tables in this guide put the weight between 168 g and 181 g, and the G301's own bullet points describe a "lightweight and ergonomic design" that "fits comfortably in your hand" — a description and a spec figure that point in opposite directions. The same table also switches units: the measuring range is quoted as 5 to 1200 yards, while the accuracy figure is ±1 m "within 400 m", so the tightest accuracy statement covers roughly the first third of the range claimed. Note that 400 turns up twice here in two different units, which tells you nothing except that the listing was not written in one pass. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon product listing, not from any testing we carried out.
