The Synology DS224+ is a 2-bay NAS enclosure, ranked second in our guide to NAS enclosures for the home. It costs £532.00 and holds a 4.5 out of 5 star rating from 882 customer reviews. Unlike the other enclosures in this list, the Synology DS224+ listing quotes no maximum TB capacity at all — not in the bullets, not in the specifications. There is no TB number to check against the bay count, because there is no TB number.

That absence is the finding. The rest of the guide examines listings that advertise a maximum capacity and then contradict themselves. This one does not make that claim. Instead, the listing focuses on centralised data storage, sharing and syncing across systems, backup and restoration tools, and built-in file, photo, and video surveillance management. The only hardware numbers you can verify from the page are the two bays and the price. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have done.
