The Sony WH-CH720N is the cheapest pair in this guide at £69.00, and the most-reviewed of the four: 4.5 out of 5 from 16,265 ratings. It finishes at number four. It is an over-ear Bluetooth model with noise cancelling and an Ambient Sound Mode, and at 192g Sony calls it its lightest noise cancelling overhead wireless pair.

What keeps it off the top of the list is the battery figure. The product title advertises "up to 35 Hr Battery Life". The fifth bullet in the very same listing says "up to 50 hours of battery life (NC off)". Both figures come from Sony for the same model, and they differ by 15 hours. The bigger number only applies with noise cancelling switched off, which the title does not say. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as it stands, not from any testing we have done.

## Questions people ask

**How long does the Sony WH-CH720N battery last?**

The title says up to 35 hours. A bullet in the same listing says up to 50 hours of battery life with noise cancelling off. Sony gives both numbers for the same model, so the larger one carries a condition the title does not.

**Does the Sony WH-CH720N charge quickly?**

Yes. The listing states that a 3-minute charge provides up to 60 minutes of playback. It also lists USB-C charging in customer reviews.

**How heavy are the Sony WH-CH720N headphones?**

The listing gives 192g and describes them as Sony's lightest noise cancelling overhead wireless headphones.

**Can I use the Sony WH-CH720N with a cable?**

The listing is inconsistent here. The specifications read "Headphone Jack: No Jack", connectivity is listed as "Wired, Wireless", and the box contents list a cable.

**Do the Sony WH-CH720N have noise cancelling and an ambient mode?**

Yes. The listing describes Dual Noise Sensor technology for noise cancelling, plus an Ambient Sound Mode to stay aware of your surroundings.

**What Bluetooth version do the Sony WH-CH720N use?**

Bluetooth 5.0, with a stated range of 10 metres. Multipoint Connection lets you pair two Bluetooth devices at once.
