The SHOKZ OpenDots ONE is a pair of open-ear clip-on earbuds with Dolby Audio, sold in black at £149.00. It takes the number 5 slot in our guide to open-ear headphones, and on Amazon it carries 4.4 out of 5 from 2,642 ratings across the five star bands.

The headline claim on the listing is up to 40 hours of listening, and that figure needs splitting. The same bullet that promises 40 hours states 10 hours of music on a single charge, with the balance coming from the charging case — so the smaller number is the one that describes a session away from a socket. The listing also disagrees with itself on how you control the buds: the control method is listed as Touch while the controller type is listed as Button, and it does not say which is right. Everything below comes from the Amazon listing rather than from any testing of our own.
