The Xootz Cyclone Electric Power Drift Trike sits at number 2 in our go-kart guide at £159.99. It is a 24V three-wheeler with light-up castor wheels at the back, a twist grip throttle offering 3 speed settings and a quoted top speed of 16km/h. The listing pitches it at riders aged 8 to 14 years and carries a 4.1 rating from 16 ratings.

The Cyclone's own numbers are the interesting part. The star breakdown on the page lists 12 one-star, 6 two-star, 7 three-star, 10 four-star and 65 five-star ratings — 100 votes in total, not 16. The spec table's "manufacturer recommended age" field reads 8 months and up, while the age range, the bullets and the title all say 8 and up or 8-14 years. And the bullets quote a 60kg maximum user weight where the spec table says 59kg. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as written; we have not tested this trike ourselves.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

“My son absolutely loves this!! Speed settings are easily managed by him, and the Bty lasted all day and only required a top up. Only issue I have had is the black frame support plastic that goes between the front and rear wheels size adjuster does push out with excessive use, "loads of spinning and sliding" which makes it lean slightly and needs pushing back in but an easy fix. This thing has been put through its paces and holds up great. Loads of fun for the kid. 🤙🤙”

Jay Kerrison

“Such a fun ride for older kids! The drifting action and light-up wheels are a big hit. It feels sturdy and well-balanced, though definitely best used on flat ground. Battery life is decent too — lots of smiles all around.”
