“This comes with preload wire, a charger and 4Ah battery.The battery and charger are compatible with the other tools in the 20V DCA range so it gets better the more you get. They claim the battery will last 60 mins but this is probably with no load and in reality it will depend on what you are cutting but over 30 mins on a charge is certainly possible.The strimmer is a bush cutter design with 2 cutting cords. I've not tried to load new cord to the spool yet. In theory it's very easy but on strimmers I've had in the past it was a pain in practice. The cord is bump fed by hitting the bottom on the floor briefly and seems to work well.It's comfortable to use with good weight distribution and it's light overall.Cutting performance is good given it's size and price. It's good for edge cutting and grass strumming. It will cut weeds and light brush but it's not going to do well in heavy brush and things like brambles.Overall this is excellent for it's price point. I've had other tools from DCA and they are all well made and similar to big brands at a much lower cost generally.This was around £70 at the time of review which is very good value in my opinion.”
“I honestly wasn't expecting this strimmer to be as good as it actually is, I'm normally one for preferring corded power tools but this just seems to be better in nearly every way! It comes delivered in a well packaged box and with the strimmer you get a 4.0Ah battery pack, mains charging station, guard cover, and the user guide.Everything was easy to put together, and the quality of the strimmer is very good, it's a pleasant colour and the plastic feels strong and durable. Its also very lightweight, no heavier than a mains powered one really.The cutting ability is where this impressed me the most, I've got very thick grass with some weeds mixed in and it cut through everything with no issues. You can't go shoving it into deep grass piles as it will bog down as expected but if you cut into it gently it does a proper decent job. I've used it for around 30 mins each time and the motor was still performing well at the end, it could probably go for a bit longer but it's so quick to charge you can connect it, have lunch and it's ready to go again. It's also quieter than I was expecting which makes it more pleasant to use as it's not so annoying, this is probably down to it being less powerful than a corded strimmer but like I mentioned earlier, I have no qualms about the power of it.The wire dispenser works well, you just tap the spring button on the floor, and it dispenses extra wire. The wire seems ok, I've caught it on a few rocks and some solar light poles, and it hasn't broken so far, it's not the thickest of wire but it gets the job done. Not sure how easy it is to get replacement wire, but DCA is a well-known brand so it's probably not that hard.Overall, I'm really happy with this strimmer and it's a very convenient and handy tool to own when you just want to give the garden a quick go over and tidy things up. For around £90 I feel it represents good value for what you are getting. It's a product I definitely recommend, and I feel it's worth the full five stars!”
