GEEZY Tree Log Fountain

Is the GEEZY Tree Log Fountain worth buying?

Yes, the GEEZY Tree Log Fountain is worth buying at £43.99 if you want lit water tucked into a shaded border or a small bed, where its 39.5 cm height fits between plants instead of standing over them. It measures 26 x 20 cm at the base and weighs 3.7 kg, so one person can lift it into position without help. A total of 148 owners rate it 4.3. It runs on 220 to 240 V mains power and comes with built-in LED lights, so the cascade is visible after dark.

It is not the right buy if you want a fountain to be the main event of a lawn, because at 39.5 cm it is the shortest of the ten models ranked for this category. It is, however, the only one with this log shape, and the light brown wood-effect finish is what lets it disappear into planting rather than sit on top of it. A 5 m cable is included, so the plug does not have to be beside the water.

How tall is the GEEZY Tree Log Fountain and what does 39.5 cm cost you?

Divide the £43.99 price by the 39.5 cm height and the GEEZY Tree Log Fountain works out at £1.11 per centimetre. The 98 cm Teamson Home straight fountain at £88.99 runs at 91p per centimetre, so this log charges 20p more for every centimetre of water it adds. That is the price of compactness: 26 x 20 cm of base instead of a footprint that needs a clear metre of ground.

Those 39.5 cm are enough for a border, a front garden or the edge of a patio, because the sound carries further than the height suggests. They are not enough for a long lawn, where the eye loses it beyond a few metres. The water moves through a self-contained pump that recirculates its own supply, so no hose has to be run to it.

What comes in the box with the GEEZY Tree Log Fountain?

The box contains the log fountain, a mains pump, built-in LED lights and a cable of approximately 5 m. The package measures 45 x 30 x 30 cm and weighs 3,700 g, so it arrives as one manageable carton. There is no plumbing to fit and no water supply to run, because the pump recirculates the same water through the reservoir.

It handles 220 to 240 V and comes with a UK 3-pin plug, so it goes straight into an outdoor socket or an indoor one with the cable run out under a door. The resin body is fade resistant, UV resistant and weather resistant, which means it can stay outside through the seasons. It works indoors as well, so a conservatory or a utility room is a valid winter home for it.

What are the drawbacks of the GEEZY Tree Log Fountain?

The first is height: at 39.5 cm it is the shortest feature in the ten-model ranking, and it will be swallowed by a deep or tall border. The second is value against other designs. The GEEZY Tap Fountain costs £9 less at £34.99 and stands 48 cm, which is 8.5 cm taller, and the Oypla 2 Tier Barrel also costs £34.99 for 67 cm.

The third is the fixed pump, which gives one flow rate and no adjustment, unlike the Aoxun Barrel Fountain where you can turn the cascade down. A small reservoir also means more topping up in July than a larger feature needs. None of these are faults; they are the trade-offs you accept for a log that fits between the ferns.

GEEZY Tree Log Fountain vs GEEZY Tap Fountain vs Oypla 2 Tier Barrel: which to buy?

The GEEZY Tap Fountain at £34.99 is £9 cheaper and 8.5 cm taller at 48 cm, but it has 81 owner ratings to the log's 148, and its 4.2 average sits just below the log's 4.3. Pick the tap for a patio where the floating-tap trick earns a smile, and the log where the water has to blend into a planted bed.

The Oypla 2 Tier Barrel at £34.99 gives 67 cm for £9 less, which is 27.5 cm more height, and 154 owners rate it 4.4. On height and on price it beats the log outright. Choose the GEEZY Tree Log Fountain only when the rustic log shape is the point of the purchase and you have a small, shaded space that a barrel would not suit.
