Is the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife worth buying?

Yes, the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife is worth buying at £429.99 if you want a square six-seat spa and you read reviews before you spend, because 835 owners have rated it and the LED strip, insulated cover, floor mat, filter pump, filter cartridge and repair kit all arrive together. It holds 910 litres, runs 130 air jets and warms to a dialled 40 °C, which is a full-size spa rather than a paddling pool for two.

It is the wrong buy if you simply want the most litres for the money. The Arebos Barcelona holds the same 910 litres and runs the same 130 jets for £399.99, so the £30 here pays for the lighting and the larger owner base rather than for more water. If the soak is the point and the extras are not, the Barcelona does the job.

What do 910 litres and 130 jets actually give you?

The Tenerife spreads 910 litres across 130 air jets, which is 7 litres of water behind every jet, and at £429.99 that comes to 47p a litre. The Nordivale holds 1,000 litres for £251.79, which is 25p a litre, so the Tenerife asks £202.49 more than the same water would cost at that rate. The Barcelona sits at 44p a litre and the Dellonda at 36p, which puts the Tenerife at the expensive end of the six-seaters.

Six people sharing 910 litres works out at about 150 litres each, enough to stretch out without stacking knees. The 2400 W pump splits into 1800 W of heating and a 600 W air blower, and the temperature dial runs from 20 °C to 40 °C, so a summer evening soak and a winter 40 °C session use the same tub. The 600 W blower is the part you hear, and running it for long stretches is what pushes the running cost up.

What comes in the box and what does it need from you?

It arrives as one pack with no assembly required, so the square 185 x 185 cm body inflates on the spot and takes up about 3.4 square metres of patio. Empty it weighs 26 kg, light enough for one person to drag into place and easier with two, but the 910 litres that follow add roughly 910 kg, so the ground needs to be level and firm rather than a springy deck.

The kit covers the practical side: an LED light strip with its own remote, an insulated thermal cover, a floor mat, the filter pump, one filter cartridge and a repair patch kit for punctures. You supply the chemicals and a 240 V outdoor socket within reach of the pump, and you should plan on buying spare cartridges so a clean one is always ready. The charcoal PVC wipes down with a non-foaming cleaner, and the whole thing deflates for winter storage if you would rather not run it all year.

Where does the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife fall short?

The score is soft for a tub with 835 ratings behind it: 3.9 is a middling verdict from a very large group of owners, and it sits below the Barcelona's 4.2 and the Dellonda's 4.0. Only one filter cartridge comes in the box, where the Dellonda ships two, so a spare is an early extra purchase rather than something you can delay.

The square shape is a commitment. A 185 cm square needs a squarer, more deliberate patch of garden than a round 180 cm tub, and once 910 litres are in, it does not move until the drain hose comes out. At 47p a litre it is also the second dearest way on this page to buy water, beaten only by the Arebos Tenerife's own stablemate in price terms.

How does it compare with the Barcelona and the Dellonda?

Against the Arebos Barcelona at £399.99, the Tenerife costs £30 more and gives you the same 910 litres and the same 130 jets, plus the LED strip and a bigger owner base of 835 ratings against 543. The Barcelona scores 4.2 where the Tenerife scores 3.9, so the cheaper tub is also the better rated one. Buy the Barcelona if you want the same soak for less, and the Tenerife if the lighting and the volume of owner feedback are what you are paying for.

Against the Dellonda at £434.98, the Tenerife is £4.99 cheaper but gives away 290 litres and 10 air jets. The Dellonda holds 1,200 litres with 140 jets in a 204 cm round shell and ships two filter cartridges, though only 34 buyers have rated it. If six adults genuinely share the tub, the Dellonda's extra room is worth the £4.99, and if the household is four, the Tenerife's 910 litres are plenty.

Questions people ask

What are the dimensions of the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife?

It measures 185 x 185 cm as a square and stands on a patch of about 3.4 square metres. Leave a walkway around it for the pump, the cover and the drain hose.

How much does the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife weigh when full?

The tub itself weighs 26 kg empty, and the 910 litres it holds add roughly 910 kg. That is close to a tonne in one spot, so a level, solid base matters more than a pretty one.

Do you need to assemble the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife?

No. It arrives as a single pack with no assembly required, so it inflates where you want it and plugs into a 240 V supply. The pump, the filter and the LED strip are part of the same setup.

What temperature does the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife reach?

The dial runs from 20 °C to 40 °C, so you can keep it tepid in summer and take it to 40 °C in winter. The pump puts 1800 W into heating the water and 600 W into the air blower for the bubbles.

What is included with the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife?

You get the spa, an LED light strip with a remote control, an insulated thermal cover, a floor mat, the filter pump, one filter cartridge and a repair kit. Chemicals and spare cartridges are the extras worth buying at the same time.

How many air jets does the Arebos Whirlpool Tenerife have?

It has 130 air jets around the square wall, working out at 7 litres of water for every jet. That is the same jet ring the Barcelona runs on the same 910 litres.
