The DOVAMAN 1800W Electric Rotavator and Garden Tiller (model T03) is the mains-powered machine in this guide: 1800W through a cable, a claimed 46cm working width, 22cm tilling depth and six steel tines turning at 380RPM, for £129.96. It sits at number 7, and because it carries no battery there are no Ah figures and no claimed runtimes to argue about — the cordless runtime puzzle that runs through the top of this list simply does not apply here.

What its own listing does say is worth lining up against the rest of the guide. The 52cc petrol tiller listed elsewhere in this article claims a 30cm working width and 15–20cm depth at £119.99, so the DOVAMAN claims well over half again the width for around £10 more, with a cable instead of a tank. Its 4.8 out of 5 comes from 28 ratings, and the breakdown shows only four- and five-star scores. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing and its customer reviews; we have not tested the machine ourselves.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

“This electric tiller has a wide 18 inch path and digs up to about 9 inches deep, so it covers a good amount of ground without needing a lot of passes. The depth is also adjustable, which is really nice depending upon how deep into the soil you want to till. The 15 amp motor has steady power and doesn't require gas or oil, which makes it cleaner and simpler to maintain long term. The adjustable wheels help with control, especially when you're working through different soil conditions. The handle folds down for storage, and the overall weight is light enough to move around somewhat easily. The overload protection shuts the motor off if the tines jam, which helps prevent damage and keeps the tool from straining. It's a solid option for medium sized garden beds, raised beds, and general soil prep if you want something straightforward, electric, and easy to store.”

“I can't believe how well this tilled up our hard packed sand/clay soil. It took an area from grassy to ready to plant in under an hour same amount of space on the other side of garden took 4 hours with different tilling techniques. For me this quality, well built, easy to use, no gas required tiller seems like it is extremely durable, great for light to medium type yards/gardens and for me should be around for many many years. I like the orange and black colors and the size and weight are easy enough for me to handle at 60. I like that it is electric and I do not have to worry about getting gas.”

Questions people ask

Does the DOVAMAN 1800W Rotavator run on a battery?

No. The listing gives the power source as corded electric and the operation mode as electric, so the 1800W comes down a cable and there are no Ah ratings or claimed runtimes to compare with the cordless tillers in this guide.

How wide and how deep does the DOVAMAN T03 till?

The listing claims a 46cm working width and a 22cm tilling depth. The dimensions field separately gives the machine as 45.7cm wide, and one reviewer describes an 18 inch path dug about 9 inches deep.

What do you get with the DOVAMAN 1800W Electric Rotavator?

The listing describes 6 steel tiller tines running at 380 RPM, 4-position adjustable wheels with a metal lock, a foldable handle, overload protection and dual safety switches. Number of items: 1.

How much does the DOVAMAN 1800W Electric Rotavator weigh?

Item weight is listed as 13.6 kg. The Unit Count field reads 13607.7711 gram, which is the same figure expressed in grams.

How is the DOVAMAN T03 rated?

4.8 out of 5 from 28 ratings. The breakdown shows 82 against five stars and 18 against four with no lower scores, which totals 100 against 28 ratings, so those two figures read as percentages.

The listing says 1800W but one review says 15 amp — which is it?

They are not the same number. The listing states 1800W, which is roughly 8A at UK mains voltage, while 15A would be about 3,450W. We have repeated both exactly as written rather than picking one.
