Rank #2 in Best 4.5 Tog Duvet 2026: 10 Ranked, and Why 'Heavyweight' Means 4.5 Tog
Siebenschläfer Light Summer Duvet 4.5 Tog, Double
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Siebenschläfer Light Summer Duvet is the second entry in this guide: a 4.5 tog double at £23.95, rated 4.8 from 19,531 ratings. Where several listings in this list disagree with themselves about what 4.5 tog means, this one is at least internally consistent — its Material Type field reads "Light Summer Duvet (4.5 Tog)" and the summer bullet ends with the same number, "4.5 TOG". The label and the figure match each other.
What it does not give is filling weight. Nothing in the listing states how much microfibre sits inside, so the question this guide keeps asking — how much filling you actually get for a 4.5 tog rating — has no answer here at all. Two other details stand out: the filling is filed under "Sleeping Bag Filling Material" rather than anything duvet-shaped, and the Fabric Type field contains the text "Gpsr@dejo-commerce.com", an email address where a fabric ought to be. The star breakdown is given as 86 at five stars, 9 at four, 3 at three and 1 each at two and one — that sums to exactly 100, so those read as percentages rather than counts of the 19,531 ratings. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as written, not from any test we carried out.
How those 19,531 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.8 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“This duvet is well worth the little extra. This duvet is made from good quality components. The wadding is well stitched in a way that prevents bunching and clumping of the filling. The fabric is of a quality that holds the duvet inside your quilt cover and stops it moving around. It's also nicely bound. Dispite bring a 4.5 tog there is some weight to it that I like. No nasty faux stitching or gross cheap j cloth type fabric to be seen. Lovely purchase. Would recommend.”
Verified purchase“Was skeptical at first as it didn't have the fluffy duvet feel but after using for a few nights have been very impressed with 10.5 tog. Got the 4.5 to popper together for when it gets colder. Very reasonably priced”

Questions people ask
Does the 4.5 tog figure match the rest of the listing?
Yes. The Siebenschläfer listing files its Material Type as "Light Summer Duvet (4.5 Tog)" and the third bullet ends "4.5 TOG", so the number and the label agree here.
How much filling do you get?
The listing does not say. It names microfibre as the filling material but gives no weight in grams or kilograms, so there is no figure to set against the 4.5 tog rating.
Can it be washed at high temperatures?
Yes. The second bullet says the duvet should be washed regularly and that it is washable at 95°C, and "Washable at 95°C" also appears as a special feature.
Is it tested for harmful substances?
The first bullet states that the duvet is tested for harmful substances by OEKO-TEX.
What does the Fabric Type field say?
It reads "Gpsr@dejo-commerce.com" — an email address sitting in a fabric field, as listed.
What rank does the listing give?
798 in Home & Kitchen and 13 in Duvets, as stated in the Siebenschläfer listing.
