The SureFeed is the microchip-controlled feeder here and the most reviewed product in this ranking. Its listing describes a feeder with a sealed lid and a microchip sensor, supplied with an RFID collar tag, a grey bowl, a split grey bowl and a mat, under model number 194705, and works for wet and dry food.
The microchip sensor is what makes it different from every timer feeder on this list: the lid opens for the animal wearing the registered chip and stays shut for everyone else. For a household with a prescription-diet cat and a greedy housemate, that is the entire point. At the time of collection it carried 13,007 ratings at 4.4 stars. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.
How those 13,007 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.4 stars.
