Why it is not higher is in its own sizing. PawHut says it suits medium dogs up to 20kg, 45cm in body length and 40cm in shoulder height, and gives a door of 40cm high by 27cm wide. A dog at the stated shoulder height is exactly the height of that doorway, with nothing spare above it, and every dog the kennel is sold for has to get through a 27cm-wide gap. The listing gives no body width figure to check that against — only length and shoulder height — so the one number that would settle it is the one it leaves out.

The listing also does not agree with itself on the box. The bullets say 63h x 65l x 75.7w cm; the spec table says 75.7D x 65W x 63H cm. Same three numbers, but 65 is the length in one field and the width in the other, and 75.7 is the width in one and the depth in the other. Two further rows are worth reading before you buy: Item Type Name is given as "Pet Cage", and the only included component is a "Nesting Box" — neither matches a plastic garden kennel. As for the reviews, three of the four we sampled are written by cat owners, and the fourth says the dog has not used it yet.
