The X-ZONE PET wooden cat house (model DXCH001) is number 2 in this guide at £159.99, rated 4.3 out of 5 from 114 reviews. It is a wooden frame over wire mesh with a waterproof asphalt roof, listed at 180 cm high, with three levels, two lockable doors, a hammock and, according to its description, a lounge. At 180 cm it belongs to the group of enclosures you can genuinely step into, and its height is the one figure that survives its own conversion: the listing gives 180 cm and 70.8 in, and 180 ÷ 2.54 comes to 70.9.

What makes this listing worth a second look is that its numbers hold together. The spec table says "Number of Levels: 3" and the description separately promises "three floors of expansion space" — the same answer twice. That is not true of everything in this guide: the £159.95 enclosure, one penny cheaper than this one, is listed as "Number of Levels: 1" while its own description advertises two jumping platforms. There are still things to watch here. The footprint of 80 cm by 88 cm works out at roughly 0.70 m² per level, and the spec table lists "Dog Breed Size: Small" on a product whose target species is Cat. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing — the spec table, the bullet points and the customer reviews — and not from any test we ran.

What buyers actually say

“Built it up as soon as it arrived, cats haven't used it yet as need to connect it to house window.. it probably won't last as wood is soft but I can always repair when needed.. it was cheaper for me to buy this and easier as I have bad health”

“Our cat loves it, it's a really good shelter. When putting it together, be gentle when screwing - the wood is fairly soft. We added a base to ours, just a bit of 18mm plywood, and then put the whole thing on 2 beams of wood so as not to sit on the wet floor.Honestly. He request to go in it 10 times a day, and happily sits there or in/on the hammock. We also put a litter tray in there too, and some dry food on the top shelf, he loves it!!”
