Rank #2 in Best Golf Trolleys 2026: 10 Ranked, and the Battery Numbers That Don't Add Up
Ben Sayers 18-Hole Lithium Electric Golf Trolley
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Ben Sayers Electric Golf Trolley is the second entry in this guide, at £349.00, rated 4.3 out of 5 from 233 ratings. Ben Sayers lists a 200W motor, a nine-speed control dial, a distance function that sends the trolley 10M, 20M or 30M ahead, and an 18-hole lithium battery which the bullets say lasts up to five times longer than a lead-acid one. The contradiction is further down the same page: the specification table states "1 AA batteries required. (included)". An 18-hole trolley battery and a single AA battery are not the same thing, and both lines are on Ben Sayers' own listing.
That table also gives the material composition as 100% Polyamide, while the bullets describe a lightweight aluminium frame. The five star buckets on the page — 62, 20, 11, 2 and 5 — add up to exactly 100, on a listing that reports 233 ratings. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing for the Ben Sayers Electric Golf Trolley, model G5214; we have not tested it ourselves.

An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.3 stars.

Questions people ask
What battery does the Ben Sayers trolley use?
The bullets say an 18-hole lithium battery is included. The specification table on the same page says "1 AA batteries required. (included)", which is not a trolley battery.
How long does the battery last?
Ben Sayers says the 18-hole lithium battery has a life span up to five times longer than a traditional lead-acid battery. The listing gives no runtime in hours and no number of rounds in metres or miles, only the 18-hole figure.
How much does the Ben Sayers Electric Golf Trolley cost?
£349.00, which makes it the second entry in this guide rather than the cheapest or the dearest.
How many speeds does it have?
The Ben Sayers trolley has a nine-speed control dial and a pre-set distance function that moves it forward 10M, 20M or 30M.
What comes with the trolley?
Ben Sayers lists an accessory pack it values at over £100: accessory station, umbrella holder, scorecard holder, phone holder, rain cover and a carry bag, plus the trolley itself.
Is the frame actually aluminium?
The bullets describe a lightweight aluminium frame for easy transportation. The specification table lists the material composition as 100% Polyamide, so the two lines disagree.
