Verified purchase“Excellent, cheap solution for my garage utility room!I recently bought a 1930's house with a multitude of bad diy to rectify. The garage is too small for a car and had been partially carpeted to use as a storage unit. I ripped out the carpet and underneath were crumbling floor tiles that I didn't dare interfere with given the potential asbestos risk. After costing up 'proper' flooring options, I took a gamble to see if these floor tiles would even out the flooring and provide a suitable base for an eventual cheap utility area and my tools.I bought 32 tiles for just under £90, and it has been a brilliant purchase. It has evened out the floor and the tiles seem robust enough to survive having tools and diy equipment stored directly on them.In terms of other pros:- they are larger than most 'gym' mats I reviewed and slightly thicker which helped. I reckon it took me 1.5 hrs to lay them all and insert the edging.- the edging pieces really finish them off well.- the pattern on mine was all the same (I read another older review where it was not).- they haven't moved or slipped in the six weeks since I laid them.- they clearly came straight from the manufacturer as they packaged in manufactures cellophane 10 in two packets and 12 in the third one. I initially thought I'd been short changed!- a positive only relevant to me but I hope you appreciate how VERY satisfying it is... as if by magic, the 32 tiles fit my garage EXACTLY. I didn't need to cut a single one or buy extra!In terms of cons:- this is only a minor point but the raised pattern makes it very hard to clean. There are little bits of dust and wood shavings in the groves of mine and my hoover tried to dent one of the tiles so it's definitely best to stick to a brush.I've attached photos showing the before, middle and after installation so you can see how easy it is to put together.Overall, I'd recommend. They seem far better quality than my daughter's play tiles (an option I did consider!) and the price is really reasonable in my view.”
