Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The IGOLUMON 40L hiking backpack is third in this guide: a foldable nylon daypack listed at £21.24 and rated 4.4 out of 5 from 2,498 ratings, with the star breakdown shown on the listing running 68 five-star, 21 four-star, 4 three-star, 2 two-star and 5 one-star. It is given as weighing 1 pound and folding into its own pocket, and the listing says the side straps take trekking poles.
The litre figure is the interesting part here. Multiply the dimensions printed in the same listing — 52 x 25 x 33 cm — and you get 42.9 litres, which is more than the 40 in the product name rather than less. Not every number on the page agrees with every other one, though: the specification table gives 5 pockets and 5 compartments, while the bullet describes 1 main zipper compartment, 2 zipper front pockets, 2 side pockets and a waterproof wet pocket, which comes to 6. The same bullet calls the nylon waterproof, where the specification table lists water resistance as water repellent. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have carried out.
