These are comfortable straight out of the box.I opted for the 10oz (283g) size, which was the lightest option available as it seemed the most sensible choice for us. Though there were several weight options going up to 16oz).Both of my kids (seven and nine) did well with these, both using them for pad work. They were a good weight without being too heavy. They managed to use them without struggling and they are not the fittest people in the world.We all found them comfortable to wear and to use. Obviously with kids, the wrist straps weren't 'tight tight ' as these are sold as an adult product. But honestly, we cannot fault them in any way. From the price point to the quality, to the comfort. I absolutely would order again and have already recommended to other parents at our marital arts class.”
