The Glymnis Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board is a 10 ft 6 in board that takes third place in this guide. It sells for £139.99 and carries 4.3 out of 5 stars from 351 Amazon ratings, with the listing ranking it 80th in the Inflatable Stand Up Paddleboards category.

The reason it sits this high is that its figures hold together. The first bullet gives a maximum load capacity of 140 kg and the spec field's maximum weight recommendation also reads 140 kilograms — the same number twice. The deck is quoted at 320 cm long, 81 cm wide and 15 cm thick, and 81 cm is a width a paddle board actually has; the 6 Inches in the thickness field works out at roughly 15.2 cm, close to the 15 cm in the bullet. One figure does slip: the item dimensions field reads 3L x 0.81W metres. Three metres is 20 cm short of the 320 cm the advert text and the 10 ft 6 in title claim. Everything here comes from the Amazon listing, not from a board we have tested.

Questions people ask

How much weight will the Glymnis board take?

The advert's first bullet gives a maximum load capacity of up to 140 kg, and the spec field for Maximum Weight Recommendation also reads 140 Kilograms. Unlike several boards in this guide, those two figures match.

Do the dimensions in the spec field match the advert text?

Partly. The bullet gives 320 cm long, 81 cm wide and 15 cm thick. The spec field's Item Dimensions reads 3L x 0.81W metres: the width agrees, because 0.81 m is 81 cm, but 3 m is 20 cm shorter than the 320 cm quoted in the text and in the 10 ft 6 in title.

What comes with the Glymnis SUP?

The bullets list an adjustable aluminium paddle, a high-pressure pump, a coiled ankle leash, a detachable fin, a repair kit and a backpack. The spec field's Included Components entry says 'No.', which does not agree with the bullet. The model number is SUP001.

What pressure should it be inflated to?

The spec field lists a Maximum Pressure of 15 Pound per Square Inch. The advert says the board inflates or deflates in minutes and packs into its backpack.

How heavy is it, and what colour?

The listing gives an Item Weight of 8.5 kg and a Colour of Mint Green, with the material listed as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).

How is the Glymnis rated?

4.3 out of 5 stars from 351 ratings, with a Best Sellers Rank of 80 in Inflatable Stand Up Paddleboards. The five bars of the rating breakdown that came with the listing add up to 100 (10, 2, 6, 10 and 72), which is not the 351 figure in the review count.
