Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.

The MERACH MR-R15 is our number 4 rower pick and the highest rated magnetic rower in this ranking at 4.8 from 55 ratings. Its practical advantage is the 130 cm extended rail, which gives taller users a fuller range of motion, with a 158 kg capacity on a 23 kg alloy steel frame. The handle position and rail angle are designed to keep a natural posture with less elbow and knee contact.

One number needs a flag: the title advertises 40 kg of resistance, which is a weight stack unit applied to a magnetic flywheel, so treat it as marketing rather than physics. The rail folds for vertical storage, the machine arrives about 90 percent pre assembled, and the MERACH app with KINOMAP compatibility covers tracking. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing rather than our own testing.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

“It's early days, but so far I'm really happy with the rowing machine, I bought it to replace an old and noisy air rowing machine and this is just the job. Unpacking and assembly were really easy, online video helped and I had my first workout last night. I was worried that it might not have enough resistance but it was enough for me on setting 12 (of 16 settings) and my wife on setting 6. Extremely quiet, noisiest thing was seat rollers, but with a bit of music, O couldn't hear that. All in all really pleased and (so far) would recommend.”
