Synergee's hex bar sits third in this guide, and it is the entry where the title and the specification field disagree most openly. It is a chrome-finished Olympic hex (trap) bar: knurled handles at two heights, a 28 mm grip, 10 inches of loadable sleeve on each side, a stated maximum of 750 lb, and a price of £304.40.

Weight is where the listing stops agreeing with itself. The product title names three bars — "7kg, 20kg and 25kg". Two bullet points state "Our hex bar weighs 25kg". The Item Weight field in the specifications says 20.4 kg. A 25 kg bar and a 20.4 kg bar are not the same bar, and the title implies the buyer is choosing between three. Every figure on this page comes from the Amazon listing; we have not weighed, loaded or tested this bar ourselves.

What buyers actually say

“This is exactly as advertised. Rotating handles are more useful than I expected. It is very solid at over 50 pounds and the chrome finish looks great.”

“I have to start with the shipping condition: the box arrived quite damaged. There was no foam or molded forms inside to keep the bar and loose parts from rolling around during transit. The bar, sleeves, and screws were only packaged in simple plastic bags. My assembly screws had actually burst out of their bag and were floating loosely in the box. The manufacturer definitely needs to address this packaging issue. I was prepared to drop a star for packaging, but the bar is just too good for a 4 star rating.Once you get past the box, the actual bar is exceptional. This is a genuinely high-quality piece of equipment! The 55 lb base weight feels perfect and substantial. The rotating handles are incredibly convenient for switching positions, though it's worth noting the knurling on them is quite aggressive and rough. I definitely need to wear lifting gloves to keep it from chewing up my hands, but the grip security is undeniable. My husband and I are seasoned lifters, each of us with over 35 years of experience, and we both absolutely love this bar. Because of my long femurs and past lower back issues, I completely stopped doing traditional barbell back squats. This bar allows me to perform a "deadlift-squat" hybrid completely safely, keeping the stress entirely off my spine. At 53 years old, my training is focused on longevity, strength, and function. If you have never used a trap bar before, prepare to be amazed at how biomechanically safe it feels. Even at a body weight of just 124 lbs, the center-of-gravity placement allows me to pull 200+ lbs for reps with zero back strain because it forces your upper body into perfect alignment.Despite the poor shipping packaging, the bar itself is absolutely worth every single penny.”
