Why does motor power matter more than tonnage?
Because the tonnage is produced by the motor through the hydraulic pump. Two splitters here claim seven tonnes at the same price, and one has a 1,500W motor against this one's 2,300W.
How big a log will it split?
Up to 250mm in diameter and 520mm long, according to the listing. Longer logs have to be cut down first.
Is it portable?
No. It weighs 60kg, so it lives where you use it — which is normal for electric splitters in this price range.
Does it need hydraulic oil?
The listing does not describe filling it, and machines in this class usually arrive ready to run. Check the manual before first use.
