Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.

At number 9 in this guide, the momcozy Baby Sleeping Bag is a 1.5 Tog wearable blanket in the Giraffe print, size M, listed for 6–12 months at £31.99, with 4.5 out of 5 from 39 ratings. Its own listing gives one TOG figure and one temperature window: 1.5 Tog for 20–23°C rooms. That is a three-degree window for the same 1.5 Tog that other entries in this guide print against windows of four and six degrees. The number on the front of the pack stays still; the thermometer printed next to it moves.

The rest of the fiche is no tidier. One bullet calls the fabric OEKO-TEX certified bamboo; the Fabric Type field says 95% viscose derived from bamboo fibre and 5% spandex; the Material Type field says polyester and rayon; the filling field says bamboo. That is three fields giving three different answers to what the bag is made of. The rating has the same problem at small scale: 4.5 out of 5 from 39 ratings, on a histogram that splits 78% five-star against 7% one-star. Everything on this page is copied from the Amazon listing, not from a test we ran.

What buyers actually say

“These are gorgeous sleep sacks! I used love 2 dream swaddle style when baby was smaller but needed some lighter weight, sleeveless sacks for him once the weather warmed up. I have a couple from White Company and JoJo but the necklines are way too wide on them for him (and he has a big head!). These are perfect with the little poppers under the armpits. Have been using them for a couple of months; he is now 8 months old and still fitting them nicely. Great for this kind of light summer/early autumn weather with a long sleeved vest underneath in out house. They wash very well and haven't bobbled at all yet.”

“Love this sleeping bag, so easy to get on & off in the middle of the night vs the popper ones. It's really soft & still looks like new after multiple washes. This was the only bag we found that was suitable for our early term baby too :) well worth the money!”
