The SPTA Cordless Mini Car Polisher sits at number 10 in this guide: a 12V micro polisher with a 2000mAh battery, priced at £115.36, rated 4.3 out of 5 from 218 ratings and listed as the fifth best seller in Amazon's Polishing Machines category. Its own page is a good example of why the biggest number in a listing deserves a second read. One bullet calls it a "4500 RPM power plant"; the same bullet then describes a variable-speed controller that "switches between 2000 and 4500 oscillations per minute". Revolutions per minute and oscillations per minute measure different things, and the listing never says which one the tool runs at. The same page lists the item weight as 3.07 kg while a bullet claims the machine "weighs over 50% less than a standard polisher" — no figure for a standard polisher is given anywhere, so that comparison cannot be checked from the page. The rating breakdown adds up to exactly 100 next to a stated 218 ratings, so it reads as a share of buyers rather than a headcount.

What the listing does confirm is the format: a free-spinning, dual-action head for hologram-free polishing, matched with 1, 2 and 3 inch backing plates for emblems, body lines and other tight areas, sold on the claim that a standard-size vehicle can be corrected on one battery. Everything below — price, ratings, specifications and the quoted buyer reviews — comes from the SPTA listing on Amazon as we found it. We have not tested this polisher ourselves.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

Verified purchase

“I have used this a few times now and seriously don't have any major complaints. I used this to do an entire vehicle and it is more than capable. it's perfect for smaller jobs and for my motorbike. The pads don't last long so always worth sourcing more of these but this is normal. Only small complaint is that the batteries don't last as long as I hoped and I have had to purchase another so I can do a whole vehicle in one go but other than that all good.”

Questions people ask

How fast does the SPTA Cordless Mini Car Polisher spin?

The listing gives two figures in the same bullet: a "4500 RPM power plant" and a variable-speed controller that "switches between 2000 and 4500 oscillations per minute". RPM and oscillations per minute are different measurements, and the page does not say which one applies.

What battery does the SPTA mini polisher use?

The listing states a 2000mAh battery, and the product title specifies 12V. The page does not state how many batteries are included in the box.

How much does the SPTA Cordless Mini Car Polisher weigh?

The listing's weight field says 3.07 kg, matching the package dimensions entry. One bullet claims the tool weighs "over 50% less than a standard polisher", but the page gives no weight for a standard polisher to compare it with.

What size backing plates are included?

The listing says the machine is matched with a 1, 2 and 3 inch backing plate, for polishing around emblems and body lines.

Is the SPTA Cordless Mini Car Polisher really cordless?

Yes. The title describes it as a "12V Micro Cordless" polisher and the bullets describe a mobile, lightweight tool with a 2000mAh battery.

What is the rating on the SPTA Cordless Mini Car Polisher?

4.3 out of 5 from 218 ratings. The breakdown shown on the page adds up to 100, with 71 of those five-star and 11 one-star, so treat it as a share rather than a count of all 218.
