Rank #2 in Best Cement Mixer 2026: 8 Ranked, Drum Size vs Real Mix Capacity
Scheppach MIX125 125L Cement Mixer, 550W
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Scheppach MIX125 is a 125L drum mixer with a 550W motor and a 26.6 rpm drum speed, listed at £309.00 and rated 4.3 out of 5 from 108 ratings. It takes second place in this guide, and the reason it sits there rather than first is the number the advert does not give.
Every other mixer in this guide converts its drum size into a mix volume: the 125L Charles Bentley claims 113L of mix, The Handy's 125L drum is quoted at 90L, and the 63L Hyundai claims 47L. The Scheppach MIX125 gives 125L and 90 kg, and never states how many litres of mix that drum takes. That is not a fault, but it does mean you cannot work out its fill ratio from the advert at all. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have done.
How those 108 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.3 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“Arrived a day early but that was OK .. just surprised to find it on the door step, I was out driving so misssed the phone call. Assembly required the mixing paddles to be adjusted a bit at the lower end (look at the picture on the box for orientation) and I added slightly longer bolts to help assembly ( used stainless for longevity.)I have only used it for one job so far but mixed up 12 loads and am very pleased with the results.”
Verified purchase“Quite easy to assemble and worked perfectly well. Even my professional builders who have their own mixer liked it. It got my paths and concreting finished. Can't comment really on long term longevity but it lasted till the end of my job and still works completely so full marks from me.”
