The KCO Lighting 8-light glass sputnik chandelier is the fifth pick in this round-up. The listing describes a brass-gold frame 93cm across, carrying eight milk glass globes on two poles that cross the centre post, plus a sloped-ceiling adapter and two extension rods at 20cm and 30cm. At £195.98 it is a different, dearer fitting than the £172.46 KCO 7-light that this guide singles out as the only one here with bulbs in the box — and that difference is the point, because this one arrives with eight empty E27 sockets to fill.
The listing's own numbers are where it gets awkward. It quotes 400 lumen of luminous flux, but neither the bullets nor the specification says bulbs are included, so that figure is really a claim about whatever bulbs you go and buy. The specification then disagrees with itself: Light Source says LED while Lighting Method says Incandescent; Colour Temperature says 3000 Kelvin while the field beside it says Natural White; control method and switch type are both given as Touch on a fitting that mounts to the ceiling; and one bullet gives the height as 64.5cm and, in the same sentence, a maximum height of 50cm. Nothing in the listing says it does. The bullets describe eight milk glass globes, two 20cm/30cm extension rods and a sloped ceiling adapter, and the specification gives the bulb base but no bulb. Budget for eight E27 bulbs on top of the £195.98.
How bright will it be?
The listing quotes a luminous flux of 400 lumen and 40 watts, but with no bulbs supplied that number is only as good as the bulbs you screw into the eight E27 sockets.
What colour is the light?
The specification gives a colour temperature of 3000 Kelvin, which is normally sold as warm white, while the Light Color field next to it reads Natural White. The listing does not settle which one applies.
