Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.

The Braun Silk-épil 7 7-210 is the sixth entry in this guide and the cheapest Braun on it at £84.99 — less than any of the Silk-épil 9 sets named in the article. It carries 4.2 out of 5 from 311 ratings, and Amazon ranks it 18th in Epilators & Accessories, which is inside the top 100 of a Health & Personal Care category where it sits 10,914th overall. On the two numbers a buyer checks first, price and category rank, the 7-series comes out ahead of the 9-series models that cost £174.95, £201.82 and £225.40.

The listing's own fields are not fully in agreement. The product title calls this the White version; the Colour field says White&pink — the same sort of mismatch you see on the 9-series entries, where a Rose Gold title sits beside a Black colour field. The rest of the sheet holds together better: the bullets describe wet and dry epilation in the bath or under the shower, and the Water Resistance Level field reads Waterproof. The bullets are also explicit about the charger — a 2-pin plug, meant for a bathroom 2-pin socket, with an EU to UK adapter (not included) needed for a 3-pin socket — and one customer review on the listing raises exactly that point. Everything below is taken from the Amazon listing for the Braun Silk-épil 7 7-210, not from any testing we carried out.

“I was dubious about spending more money than ever before on an epilator when I know cheaper ones also do the job but I was tired of using cheap ones with terrible battery lives.I'm SO glad I bought this!First of all I only charged this for about 30 minutes to test it out - and it ended up lasting long enough to do my whole body (both lower & upper legs, lower arms, underarms, lower stomach and bikini area) and wasn't showing any signs of slowing down or running out. Just one caveat - the charger is an EU / bathroom plug with two prongs, so if you don't have a socket like that in your bathroom you'll need to buy a separate adapter.Moving onto the usage experience - I was amazed at how much less painful it was than other epilators I've used. I've never been able to do my underarms or bikini area before - and whilst it was painful with this it was manageable. And it definitely does require less passes to remove all the hairs than with others I've used before. This was whilst using dry - and the advertisement says using it wet / in-shower can further reduce pain levels, so I'm looking forward to trying that.I haven't tested out the other attachments or the mini bikini trimmer yet - but the trimmer does come with batteries which is a nice touch, and it looks elegant and easy to use.Whilst this is expensive - it includes a 5-year warranty so I believe it is well worth the money.”

“Would be nice to know that it's not a standard UK plug though.....that's the only let down”
