VTEK 1/2in Brushless Impact Wrench, 700 Nm, Battery Included

VTEK's brushless 1/2-inch impact wrench is the number eight pick in this guide. Its listing leads with 700 Nm and 515 ft-lbs in the title, and the bullets split that into two different figures: 700 Nm (515 ft-lbs) of maximum breakaway torque, the force needed to shift a rusted or over-tightened nut, and 600 Nm (442 ft-lbs) of maximum tightening torque, the force it applies when doing the nut up. The specification table on the same page lists Item Torque as 600 Newton Meters. On VTEK's own numbers, then, the large figure is what the tool can undo, not what it can do up.

At £43.69 it is supplied with a 4.0Ah battery and a charger rather than as a bare tool, which separates it from the three cordless wrenches in this guide that arrive with neither. VTEK also rates it at 3,600 IPM and describes a brushless motor; the specification table gives 3 kg and 31 cm. Everything on this page is taken from the VTEK listing as it appears on Amazon, not from testing we have carried out ourselves.
