#4 of 10 in our lightweight strollers guide, the Hauck Fold N Care in olive is an umbrella stroller priced at £59.95 and rated 4.5 out of 5 from 68 ratings. Hauck says it suits children from 6 months up to 22 kg, and lists EN 1888-1 and EN 1888-2 among the standards it meets. It is a single-seat umbrella stroller with a 5-point height-adjustable harness, a 5-position backrest quoted at 99.8°–142.1°, EVA wheels with 4-wheel suspension, an underseat basket rated to 3 kg and a raincover in the box.

The reason it sits here rather than higher is the weight, and the listing does not agree with itself about it. The first bullet says the stroller "weighs just 7.6 kg". The spec table of the same listing gives two figures: Item Weight 7.9 kg, and Frame Weight 7.6 Kilograms. So the 7.6 kg you read in the sales copy is the frame — the stroller you actually lift off the ground is listed at 7.9 kg. The table also quotes a folded size of 109.5 x 36 x 33 cm against open dimensions of 87L x 47W x 107H centimetres, which makes the folded length 22.5 cm longer than the open one; check that against your boot before you buy. The header counts 68 ratings while the star breakdown underneath it adds up to 100. Every number on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we carried out ourselves.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

Verified purchase

“Would thoroughly recommend this item - so lightweight but sturdy and easy for air traveling with plenty of growth room”

Verified purchase

“Love it. My toddler is a big boy so I wanted something that goes up to 22kg as my 17month old is almost 14kg already. It also has for storage underneath. Downside is it's a bit bulky and doesn't exactly store away easily but I guess you can have it all. It's still much ligther and easier to move than the travel systems”
