The StepIt 4 Step Ladder is an aluminium folding stepladder with four treads, listed at £44.99 and rated 4.6 out of 5 from 272 ratings. It sits at number 6 in this guide. On paper it is a simple product: 4.4 kg, a 150 kg maximum load, EN-14183 certification, and a folded thickness of 5.5 cm so it can go behind a door.
Most of the numbers here do agree with each other, which is not true of every listing in this guide. The 150 kg Load Capacity in the spec table matches the 150 kg (330 lb) figure in the bullet, and the 4.4 kg in the title matches the Item Weight field. What does not agree is the folded size. The same bullet that says the ladder "collapses to just 5.5cm thick" also gives the folded footprint as 152 x 51 x 5.5 cm — a folded height of 152 cm, which is 7 cm more than the 145 cm open size given in that same line and repeated as Maximum Height in the spec table. If storage space is why you are buying it, that is the pair of numbers to settle before you order. Every figure on this page comes from the Amazon listing as we found it, not from a test of our own.
