Is the Tower Vortx 9L Dual Basket worth buying?
Yes, if you want two drawers without paying Ninja prices. The Tower Vortx 9L costs £113.68, feeds up to 8 people across two 4.5L baskets, and 9,557 buyers rate it 4.6.
It suits families on a budget who want the oven-free weeknight that a dual drawer gives you.
What do Smart Finish and Match Cook do?
Smart Finish delays the shorter basket so both are ready together. Match Cook copies the settings of one basket to the other when you cook the same food in both.
What is it like to live with?
You get 4 cooking methods, air fry, roast, bake and grill, with 10 presets and a range of 80°C to 200°C. It measures 35.5cm deep, 38.5cm wide and 32.1cm high.
Tower's guarantee is 1 year as standard, extended by 2 years when you register online.
Where does the Tower Vortx 9L fall short?
It tops out at 200°C, while the Ninjas reach 240°C for extra crisping. Also, the spec table lists its wattage as 50 and its weight as 1kg, both clearly wrong, since the title says 2,600W.
How does it compare with the Ninja Dual Zone 7.6L and the Hisense 11L?
The Ninja Dual Zone 7.6L costs £51.31 more, reaches 240°C and has 18,283 ratings. Meanwhile, the Hisense 11L costs £4.68 less with bigger drawers, but has only 107 ratings.
