The 418L four-door fridge freezer is the number five entry in this guide and, at £429.98, the cheapest listing in it. It is also the one that passes the check the rest of the guide is built on. The spec table gives a refrigerator net capacity of 269 litres and a freezer capacity of 149 litres, and 269 + 149 = 418 — the two compartment figures account for the whole headline number rather than one of them being the whole-cabinet figure copied into a single-compartment field. Four other listings in this guide fail that sum; this one does not.

The rest of the fiche is messier. The same table describes the cabinet three different ways: configuration side-by-side, form factor multi-door, door orientation cross-door, with four doors. Two of the five bullets are word-for-word identical, both about the no-frost feature. Adjustable temperature control is listed as "No", yet a reviewer on the same page describes a cooler box that can be lowered to -1°C. It is the narrowest cabinet here at 75.2cm wide against 83.3cm or 83.5cm on the others, which fits the reviewer who found the side doors too small for a large milk bottle, and the colour is listed as silver while the same reviewer calls it dark grey/charcoal with black sides. Everything below comes from the Amazon listing and its customer reviews, not from any testing of our own.

What buyers actually say

Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon

“This fridge/freezer has been amazing for my family of 5. Compared to what we had before (integrated Zanussi) we've got so much space now, the cooler box which you can lower to -1 degree has helped keep meat fresher then our old fridge as well. Would definitely recommend. Although the side doors are smaller and can't fit a UK milk in, we've just taken out the top one which didn't affect us since we've got so much more space anyway.”

“Great fridge freezer, the freezer is a little on the smaller side due to how it's drawers are, but keeps everything nice and cold, doesn't make much noise at all and the fridge holds loads, just needs 1 of the door trays removing to allow for a big milk bottle otherwise amazong”

Questions people ask

Does the 418 litres cover the whole cabinet or just one compartment?

Both, on this listing. The spec table gives 269 litres refrigerator net capacity and 149 litres freezer capacity, and 269 + 149 = 418, so the headline figure matches the two compartments instead of doubling one of them.

Is the 418L four-door model frost free?

Yes. The defrost system type is listed as No Frost and the bullets describe Total No Frost, though the first two bullets say exactly the same thing about it.

How much space does it need?

It is listed at 60cm deep, 75.2cm wide and 185.5cm high, and weighs 63kg.

Can the temperature be adjusted?

The spec table states adjustable temperature control: No. A reviewer on the same listing describes a cooler box that can be lowered to -1°C, so the two statements do not agree with each other.

What colour is it?

The listing says silver. A reviewer says the finish is much darker than they would call silver, describing it as dark grey/charcoal with black sides.

How loud is it?

The listing gives 40dB, and one reviewer describes it as quiet with plenty of room for a family of seven.
