Rank #1 in Best Kitchen Taps 2026: 10 Ranked, and Where the Numbers Clash
Bristan Echo Kitchen Sink Mixer Tap, Chrome
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Bristan Echo is a twin-lever mono sink mixer in chrome, and it takes the top slot in this guide. The listing gives it a price of £89.99, a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 1,331 ratings, a spout height of 220 mm and a spout reach of 190 mm. It is also the most expensive tap named in this guide — the others here run from £26.16 to £39.08 — and its Best Sellers Rank line reads "9 in Touch On Kitchen Sink Faucets", a figure worth holding next to the two Cobbe taps priced at £36.28 and £32.24 that each print "1 in Touch On Kitchen Sink Faucets".
The disagreement on this listing is not about the rank, it is about the warranty. One field, "Manufacturer Warranty Description", states a 10 year manufacturer's warranty. Another field on the same page, "Item Highlight", states "Lifetime Cover". Those cannot both describe the same cover. There is a smaller gap in the fittings list too: the bullet text promises "an Allen key", while the Included Components field names a 6mm hex key and a 2.5mm hex key, and the bullets mention flexible tails without ever giving a hose length. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing — we have not tested the tap ourselves.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“as a proffesional plumber, I have fitted more than 120 of these bristan easyfit taps and never had a problem, they are easyfit after the first one is installed because you can change the taps form the top with no extra plumbing work, however, if you are fitting these for the first time I would recommend them being fitted by a proffesional. do use the silicone grease provided on the o rings before assembly, do use an L shaped allen key to tighten the 2 securing nuts and not just the small screwdriver provided, always make sure the screws are seated in properly. I have these taps in my own house, would not use anything else. they are superb quality at a very reasonable price. the bad reviews on here are from diyers who have not fitted them correctly. the also work with high and low pressure systems.”
Verified purchase“Hey, it works. Did what it says but....They say it is easy fit but it never is.The two hoses that came with it were not long enough. They are 300mm I needed 400mm.I went to Wickes. B and Q Screwfix, to station and couldn't get any 400mm hoses. Even a plumbers supply merchant didn't have any.Du yourself a favour and make sure you have the correct length house before starting work.😕”
