“Let me start by saying I could live with out this. We had to by two at the same time and it felt like a huge outlay.But with young cats on a more frequent eating schedule, than a full grown one. As they are fans of wet food, the sealed units are brilliant abs they do eat the food even at the end of the day.This has meant we can go for a long day out, or an evening out and know they have their food at regular intervals, on their normal schedule.Once the cats are older and we can leave them over night, we know they will still keep to their eating schedule, with fresh food.It is easy to set up. Read the instructions - I may have jumped in and it took me a little longer to get it right.The freezer packs are great.The dishes go in the dishwasher, so easy to clean.The main unit is easy to wipe down.The unit is rather big, and very different from the normal food dish arrangement, but ours get on with it fine - our boy cat is a sensitive soul and struggles with change, so I try and leave a few biscuits in one of these so it smells of food and he associates it with meals.It can be a little bit noisy when the dish moves round - but I’ve noticed it does act as a call to food, so that can’t be bad.I would really recommend this if you have cats who need an early morning feed, or if you have a change to your routine but want your cats to stay on theirs.”

“I wish there was a better alternative for feeding multiple cats in the same household - but buying two of these has so far seemed to fix my dilemma.- We bought two C300s to sit side by side so they would open at the same time for our two cats. Our oldest now needs to eat little and often to stop her from vomiting on an empty stomach. Two cats could not eat from the same machine at the same time. And unless they are incredibly generous and like to take turns, unlike our rude gluttons, I would suggest going for two. It's also kinder to the cats to give them a resource each so they don't have to squabble. So far, 8 meals, and the timers have opened at the same time as each other - but they're getting a tiny bit more out of sync every day so I suspect I'll have to reset the clocks soon.- The triangular opening is quite small, not really ideal for whiskers - so our cats tend to use their paws to fish out the last bits of dry food. I wouldn't want to give them all their meals using this - they prefer to eat out of flat plates that are easier on their faces.- You can only set the timer for 2 meals, the '3rd' meal would be the open slot.- I wouldn't use this machine for wet food. As other reviewers point out, the ice pack positioning seems to be a design flaw- They are pretty LOUD when they open. Our older, night-time-blind cat is really scared of the sound and wouldn't eat from it initially. We're using the timer for 2 of her meals and sitting with her while it opens to get her used to it - but I suspect we'll have to buy something else if it keeps unsettling her. Other cat understands that the noise means food. Even though other cat is famously a bit dim. The noise doesn't last long at all mind you - it's just the rotation.”
