PawHut Wooden Catio, 112 cm High, Three Platforms

PawHut's wooden catio takes eighth place in this guide, and it is a different kind of product from the walk-in runs further up. It is a window-mounted enclosure — the listing describes it attaching outside a window, with a large front or side door you can leave open — built from fir wood with a varnish coating, a metal wire structure and a water-resistant roof. The price is £152.51 and it carries a 4.5-star average from 14 ratings.

The figure worth checking is the one in the name. "71"" sounds like height; the listing's own dimensions make the unit 112 cm high, 180 cm long and 80 cm wide, so the 71 inches is the 180 cm length, not the height. The front door is 102.8 cm high inside a 112 cm frame — roughly nine-tenths of the whole thing — which puts this alongside the two enclosures in this guide that measure 107.9 cm and 108 cm, not alongside the ones you can genuinely step into at 159 cm and above. The specs also list "Dog Breed Size: Small" on a product sold for cats. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing, not from any testing we have carried out.
