Rank #1 in Best Multi Gym 2026: 10 Ranked, and the Claims That Don't Add Up
Marcy Multifunctional Workout Station Home Gym
Price and rating as shown on Amazon when we collected them. Both change.
The Marcy MWM-4965 is a multifunctional home workout station: a cable-and-pulley tower with a press arm, a leg developer and an abdominal crunch station, sold as one unit for £499. It takes the top spot in our best multi-gyms guide on the back of 4.2 stars from 1,861 Amazon ratings, the largest review base in that round-up.
Its listing is also the cleanest example of the problem the guide is built around. The title advertises a "100lbs to 200lbs Stack", while the bullet underneath specifies a vinyl coated 68 kg stack — about 150 lb, so the title is quoting a range across versions rather than what arrives in the box. More plainly, the spec table gives the machine's item weight as 60.3 kg while the stack inside it is 68 kg: the stack is heavier than the whole product is said to weigh. And 136 kg appears twice, once as "Maximum User Weight Capacity" in a bullet and once as "Tension Supported" in the spec table, so the same figure is doing two different jobs. Everything on this page comes from the Amazon listing as we found it, not from a machine we assembled or loaded ourselves.
How those 1,861 ratings break down
An average hides its own shape. This is the spread behind the 4.2 stars.

What buyers actually say
Quoted from customer reviews on Amazon
Verified purchase“I'm not into gym equipment, I've been to gym a few times, but i feel like this is a solid product, easy to assemble very well balanced, supports more weight than most other similar homegyms on the market. Looks like it can last for ever, with good maintenance. :)”
Verified purchase“I already had a good cable machine and weights but adding this to my home gym means I now have everything.I almost did not buy it because I thought it was too cheap. Not sure how they do it for this price but glad that they do!”

Questions people ask
What is the maximum user weight for the Marcy MWM-4965?
The listing gives two figures: a bullet says 136 kg maximum user weight capacity, and the Item Highlight field in the spec table says 135 kg.
How heavy is the weight stack on the Marcy MWM-4965?
The bullet specifies a vinyl coated 68 kg stack with a selector pin. The title's "100lbs to 200lbs" is a range across stack versions rather than one figure for this model.
How much does the Marcy MWM-4965 weigh on its own?
The spec table lists the item weight as 60.3 kg, which is less than the 68 kg quoted for the stack inside it.
What are the cables rated to?
The bullets describe 2,000 lb twinned cables in 14 gauge powder coated steel, and the Item Highlight field repeats 907 kg resistance cables. That is the cable's own rating, not a limit on what a user can lift.
What comes in the box with the Marcy MWM-4965?
The listing names the home gym, a manual and tools. No weight plates are listed as included.
What warranty does Marcy give on the MWM-4965?
As listed: lifetime on the frame, three years on parts and one year on upholstery.
