MaxStrength's Power Bag sits at number eight in this guide, and unlike several others here its listing says it arrives already filled with sand. It is offered in four weights — 5kg, 10kg, 15kg and 20kg — at £32.85, with a black and blue cover and reinforced handles, and it carries 4.4 out of 5 from 57 ratings.

The arithmetic on the page is the interesting part. The size field says 10kg. The item weight field on the same listing says 25 kg, a 15 kg gap inside a single product entry — and one of the reviews below describes training "even at 25kg", which matches the item weight field rather than the size field. The star breakdown does not line up either: 70 five-star, 19 four-star, 5 three-star and 6 one-star add up to 100 ratings, while the header states 57. Everything on this page is taken from the Amazon listing as it stands; we have not weighed, filled or tested the bag ourselves.

What buyers actually say

“This is a great bit of home gym kit. Seller shipped quickly and delivered quickly. Came in a box and well taped to prevent damage.I've done a few workouts with it and because of the multiple straps, it gives great resistance even at 25kg. It really feels like more and is ideal for upper body muscle training. Different muscles to my bench and dumbbells due to how you can hold it. Ideal for beginner up to advanced I would say. I can curl 25kg dumbbells in training sets but using the bag in a hammer position it is more difficult, despite having both arms in use.Really recommend this and quality appears really good so far. I don't use to throw around etc which I think would shorten its durability. Very strong for general lifting etc though, tough material”

“I've only used this bag a few times but I feel it will last a long time. Really strong construction with lots of strong handles. Ideal for what we are doing in the gym.”

Questions people ask

Which weight does the £32.85 buy?

The listing does not say which of the four weights named in the title — 5kg, 10kg, 15kg or 20kg — the £32.85 buys, and the size field on the same page reads 10kg.

Does the MaxStrength bag arrive filled?

Yes. The title calls it a Power Bag 'Filled with Sand Bag' and the included components are listed as 1x Power Bag, so it ships filled rather than as an empty shell.

How heavy does MaxStrength say the bag is?

The size field says 10kg and the item weight field on the same page says 25 kg — a 15 kg gap between two numbers in one listing.

What do the 57 ratings work out to?

The header shows 4.4 out of 5 from 57 ratings, but the star breakdown on the same page is 70 five-star, 19 four-star, 5 three-star and 6 one-star, which totals 100.

What is the bag built for?

The bullets list CrossFit, functional training, circuit workouts, endurance work and explosive sandbag training, plus lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying using the reinforced handles.

What are the listed dimensions and materials?

20 cm wide by 50 cm high, black and blue, with the outer material given as faux leather and ergonomic reinforced handles; the spec table also lists a different product code from the one in the listing's own address.
